Welcome
Welcome to the Weston Democratic Town Committee website! We hope you'll visit often, as we update you on important issues facing our community. It is an exciting time to be a Democrat. President Obama’s historic election has set the stage for positive change on a national level: government that is fair, pro-active, and unafraid to tackle the challenges Americans face in these tough economic times. Locally, Weston's Democratic leaders continue to feel privileged to represent your interests, working hard to achieve the goals that matter to our whole community: good schools, manageable taxes, and smart town planning. Weston is a wonderful town. Like many New England towns, we are faced with the challenge of providing critical town services and a quality education for our children, while keeping taxes manageable for our residents--especially seniors on fixed incomes. Today, we need leaders who are not only experienced but have the creativity and vision to guide Weston into the future. Election Day is November 3, 2009. Between now and then, I encourage you to examine the positions of the parties and the candidates for office on the substantive issues that face our town. Again, please check the website regularly to learn more about our Democratic team. In a small town like Weston, grassroots political activity is the most effective way to make a meaningful difference in our collective quality of life. We welcome your participation in that effort! For more information or to get involved, please email me directly at BarbaraAReynolds@gmail.com, or contact any of your friends and neighbors who serve on our Democratic Town Committee. Thanks again for visiting! Barbara A Reynolds Chair |
